For decades, Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center has provided its sports-medicine services to area high schools.
On Wednesday, EOOC received a personal thank you, courtesy of Booker T. Washington volunteer coach Reginald Terry (Coach Ice to most -- we wrote this feature on him last year).
To show his appreciation to EOOC, Terry reached out to former Hornets Felix Jones and Robert Meachem, who are like sons to him. Both are playing in the NFL, with Jones a running back for Dallas and Meachem a receiver for New Orleans.
The pair donated signed jerseys, and Terry paid to have them framed. In a ceremony at the clinic on Wednesday, he planned to present them to spokesman Larry Egge, Dr. Jeffrey Emel, head trainer Omar Zaldivar and others.
"It’s just been a great marriage and partnership for us," Terry said.
